Beginner Driver Education Course

Graduates of the Beginner Driver Education course are eligible to take the G1 exit test 4 (four months) earlier than non-graduates.

This means that the graduate will be eligible for the G1 exit test in only 8 (eight months) from the day they obtained their G1 license, whereas a non-graduate of an approved beginner driver education course, would have to wait for one year before they are eligible to take the test.

Graduates may also be eligible for an insurance discount, which may help to offset the cost of the course.

The Course is provided in THREE segments:

1.    20 hours of In-class instruction, provided by an Instructor  trained and certified by the (OSL) Ontario Safety League.

2.    10 hours of In-Car instruction, provided by an Instructor,  licensed by the province of Ontario to provide this instruction.

3.    10 hours of Project Work, to be completed outside of classroom time.

 Students have exactly one year from the start date of their chosen course to finish all classes, in-car sessions and hand in the project booklet, in order to be considered a "Graduate" of Gord's Driving School, be certified with the Ministry and be eligible for insurance discounts.
